Aromas of white flowers, grapefruit, and lemon zest open to a palate that is crisp and focused, with ripe orchard fruit, a touch of fresh herbs, and a silky mid-palate texture. A pronounced mineral salinity runs through to a clean, lingering finish with a bright, saline lift.
Grapes are sourced from estate parcels of varying ages farmed across multiple terroirs and exposures with minimal chemical inputs. The wine is fermented at cool temperatures to preserve primary fruit character, then bottled in early spring to capture its natural freshness and aromatic lift.
The domaine is a seven-generation family estate located in Chavignol, a village within the Sancerre appellation. The vineyards sit on chalk and limestone soils known locally as caillottes, which drive the wine's characteristic mineral tension and depth. Son Guillaume Laporte, trained in oenology at the University of Tours, has worked alongside the family to bring additional precision to the estate's winemaking in recent years.
