Aromas of jasmine, white peach, lemon drop, and subtle hazelnut lead into a full-bodied palate. Flavors of nectarine, green apple, and ginger join bright acidity and a rich, creamy texture through a focused, mineral-accented finish.
Hand-harvested fruit is whole-cluster pressed and fermented in French oak barrels (30 percent new) using indigenous yeasts. The wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation with regular lees stirring during 10 months of barrel aging before bottling.
Grapes come from estate and grower vineyard blocks across the Russian River Valley. Rooted in Goldridge sandy loam soils, the vines experience heavy Pacific ocean fog, slowing sugar accumulation and preserving natural acidity.
