Organically and biodynamically farmed Clairette with a touch of Marsanne, hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed. Spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks is followed by six to eight months on fine lees. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfur.
Grown on south-facing granite soils in the St-Julien-en-St-Alban zone of the Ardèche, at the southern edge of the Northern Rhône. The name is a nod to Adèle Blanc-Sec, the heroine of a beloved 1970s French comic strip whose surname translates quite fittingly to "white and dry."
