Fresh and expressive, this Chenin Blanc shows citrus peel, green apple, quince, and a hint of flint-like mineral tension. The palate is crisp and lively with bright acidity and a touch of soft texture from lees contact, finishing clean and balanced with a refreshing thread of salinity and orchard fruit.
Hand-harvested Chenin Blanc is direct-pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts before aging nine to twelve months on lees in fibreglass and stainless vessels. Minimal intervention with no added fining or filtration preserves the wine’s purity and energetic profile.
Made by Thomas Puéchavy in the Loire Valley near Vouvray, this wine reflects a site just outside the official appellation boundary and organic farming on clay-limestone soils. Puéchavy’s hands-off approach and focus on terroir give this Vin de France bottling a tensile, mineral-driven expression of Chenin Blanc.
