Aromas of blueberry, plum, and violet integrate with notes of sweet tobacco and licorice. The palate is medium-bodied and structured, featuring dark fruit and a mineral center. It displays firm, rounded tannins and a refreshing acidity that leads to a persistent finish marked by spiced berry and graphite.
Winemaker Angelina Yañez utilizes 100% Malbec fermented with native yeasts in concrete tanks. The wine is aged for 12 months in neutral French oak barrels to add structural depth without overwhelming the fruit. This minimal-intervention approach is bottled unfined and unfiltered to maintain its authentic character.
The fruit is grown in the Agrelo subregion of Mendoza, Argentina, at the high-altitude La Suiza Vineyard. The site is defined by deep alluvial clay and sandy loam soils at 3,200 feet. Intense mountain sunlight and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen slowly, retaining the natural acidity and plush tannins classic to this terroir.
