Aromas of green apple, grapefruit peel, and acacia flowers lead into a palate of lemon zest, fresh pear, and white peach. The body is light-to-medium, driven by a crisp acidity. A distinct touch of salinity balances the fruit on a clean, refreshing finish.
The wine is 100% Albariño. Grapes undergo 12 hours of cold skin contact before pressing. Part of the wine ferments and ages on the fine lees in stainless steel with regular stirring, undergoing malolactic fermentation. The rest ages on its lees in neutral 500-liter French oak barrels without malolactic fermentation before the final blend is assembled.
Fruit comes from estate vineyards in the Ribeira do Ulla sub-region of Rías Baixas, Spain. Vines range from 15 to 31 years old and are trained on pergolas to maximize airflow in the humid climate. The soils are rich in organic matter over a granite bedrock.
