Aromas of wild pomegranate, damson plum, and forest floor integrate with distinct notes of iron and dried violets. The palate is medium-bodied and exceptionally vibrant, featuring a crunchy acidity and fine-grained tannins that carry the dark berry fruit into a clean, stony finish.
The estate utilizes certified biodynamic farming for these high-density vines. In the cellar, the Teroldego grapes undergo fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel and cement tanks. The wine matures for 12 months in a combination of large neutral oak casks and cement to ensure the primary fruit and mineral character are preserved without any oak-derived flavors.
The fruit is grown on the family estate in the Campo Rotaliano, a flat, sun-drenched plain in the Trentino region of the Dolomites. This site is defined by its alluvial soils of granite and limestone pebbles, which were deposited by the Noce River over centuries. This well-drained, mineral-rich terrain is considered the premier terroir for Teroldego, providing the grape with the structural tension and deep pigment for which the property is world-renowned.
