2023 Domaine Luneau-Papin Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine Sur Lie 'Terre de Pierre'

Aromas of citrus blossom, ripe pear, green apple, and white flowers lead into a focused, light-to-medium-bodied palate. Flavors of lemon zest, orchard fruit, and wet stone join driving, taut acidity and a distinct saline minerality through a long, savory finish.

Hand-harvested, organically and biodynamically farmed fruit ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The wine ages on its fine lees for 18 months in underground glass-lined concrete vats, building textural depth and complexity while preserving primary freshness.

Grapes come from the single parcel La Butte de la Roche in the Pays Nantais region of the Loire Valley. The vineyard features rare magmatic soils composed of altered peridotite and serpentinite bedrock, which impart a pronounced, stony salinity to the fruit.
