Aromas of ripe blackberry, dark cherry, violet petals, mocha, and subtle cigar box spice lead into a full-bodied, plush palate. Flavors of black plum, blueberry, cocoa powder, and crushed graphite mesh with a faint herbal, peppery lift. The texture is velvety and broad, supported by sweet, fine-grained tannins and balanced, integrated acidity through a long, polished finish.
Grapes are hand-picked and undergo careful sorting before temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for 18 months in French oak barrels (utilizing 20 percent new French oak) to frame the dark fruit core and soften the tannic framework while maintaining varietal focus.
Grapes are sourced from select vineyard sites across the Luján de Cuyo sub-region of Mendoza, Argentina. Situated at high elevations around 3,000 feet above sea level, the vineyards feature clay-loam and alluvial soils. The intense high-altitude sunlight builds deep phenolic concentration and color, while cool night air coming off the Andes Mountains preserves natural freshness and structural balance.
