Aromas of ripe red cherry, dark plum, balsamic herbs, white pepper, and crushed graphite lead into a concentrated, full-bodied palate. Flavors of fresh raspberry, mocha, dried thyme, and licorice mesh with a distinct slate minerality. The texture is rich and broad, supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and vibrant natural freshness through a long, persistent finish.
A 50/50 blend of Garnatxa (Grenache) and centenarian Cariñena (Carignan). The grapes are hand-picked, sorted, and fermented using roughly 50 percent whole clusters. Following temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration, the wine ages for 13 months in large French oak foudres, softening the tannic structure while preserving the pure, lifted fruit character.
Grapes are grown exclusively in the village zone of Porrera within the DOQ Priorat. Planted on steep, terraced, century-old vineyard sites featuring signature llicorella (black slate and quartz) soils. The extreme mountain slopes and intense afternoon heat are balanced by cool night air, yielding low crop yields with high natural concentration and minerality.
