Aromas of bright red cherry, ripe raspberry, rose petal, and savory spice lead into a lush, medium-to-full-bodied palate. Flavors of dark plum, wild berry preserves, black pepper, and subtle leather mesh with a touch of minty anise. The texture is supple and rounded, supported by a dusty tannin structure and energetic natural acidity through a clean, lingering finish.
Crafted entirely from Zinfandel harvested from certified organic and sustainably farmed sites. The young vines are picked separately from older blocks and fermented using only native yeasts. The wine ages for 12 months in barrel (80 percent French oak and 20 percent American oak, with only 5 percent new wood overall) to soften the structure while maintaining primary fruit focus before being bottled unfined.
Grapes are sourced from young vines—ranging from 6 to 25 years old—replanted across 27 of Turley's historic old-vine estate vineyards located in 11 California counties. Featuring famous sites like Hayne, Pesenti, Salvador, and Kirschenmann, the varied microclimates and soil profiles range from gravelly benchlands to volcanic hillsides, giving the wine a broad regional cross-section of California Zinfandel.
