Aromas of fresh red cherry, wild raspberry, violet, and subtle Mediterranean herbs lead into a bright, medium-bodied palate. Flavors of tart plum, blood orange, and dried oregano mesh with a delicate earthy undertone. The texture is smooth and fluid, supported by soft, fine-grained tannins and energetic natural acidity through a crisp, clean finish.
Crafted entirely from Sangiovese harvested from estate vineyards. The grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks to emphasize primary fruit purity. The wine ages for roughly one year in large Slavonian oak casks and stainless steel, allowing the structure to soften without masking the fresh cherry aromatics or delicate floral detail.
Grapes are grown on the Pian delle Querci estate in the northern sector of Montalcino, Tuscany. Planted on well-draining soils rich in marl and clay at moderate elevations, the vines benefit from warm daytime sun balanced by cool nighttime air currents descending from the Tuscan hills, preserving natural acidity and freshness in the fruit.
