This is 100 % Cabernet Sauvignon vinified from organically farmed grapes. After hand harvesting, fermentation and aging occur with careful temperature control, including several months in French oak casks before bottling to integrate fruit and oak influence.

Produced under the Prelius label by Castelprile/Volpaia in Maremma Toscana DOC, Tuscany, Italy, vineyards lie on hilly terrain that was once the shore of ancient Lake Prelius near the Tyrrhenian Sea. The site’s coastal proximity and sandy, clay-rich soils support even ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon in this Mediterranean-influenced climate.
