Aromas of blueberry, ripe cassis, dried rose petals, cigar box, olive, and graphite lead into a plush, harmonious palate. Flavors of bright red fruits, cocoa, fresh orange peel, and subtle espresso mesh with a slate-like mineral undertone. The texture is velvety and layered, supported by fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity through a long, polished finish.
Hand-harvested and optically sorted before undergoing fermentation with an average of 20 days of skin contact. A Cabernet-dominant, Left Bank-style Bordeaux blend, the wine ages for 18 months in 100 percent new French oak barrels, building seamless textural weight and fine tannic structure.
Grapes are grown on estate parcels within the Oakville AVA in Napa Valley, including the iconic To Kalon Vineyard blocks. Planted on gravelly, well-draining alluvial soils, the vines experience warm afternoon sun tempered by cool evening breezes off San Pablo Bay, driving full phenolic ripeness while retaining fresh natural structure.
