Aromas of fresh blackberry, crushed wild plum, Mediterranean garrigue, and black pepper lead into an energetic, medium-bodied palate. Flavors of dark cherry, wild thyme, licorice, and damp earth mesh with a chalky mineral core. The texture is supple and lively, framed by fine, rustic tannins and a bright, mouthwatering finish.
Farmed organically and biodynamically. A blend of Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah from old vines, hand-harvested with strict selection. The fruit undergoes gentle whole-cluster co-fermentation with native yeasts in neutral concrete tanks. Aging takes place entirely in concrete to preserve pure, crunchy fruit and raw site expression without oak influence.
Grapes are grown in high-elevation vineyards in the Corbières region of the Languedoc, near the village of Val de Dagne. The vines sit on cool, limestone-heavy soils surrounded by wild scrubland. The elevated altitude and cooler microclimate protect the vines from intense heat, resulting in lower alcohol, crisp natural acidity, and a distinctly fresh profile.
