Aromas of fresh blackberry, crushed tart cherry, red paprika, and damp earth lead into a vibrant, light-to-medium-bodied palate. Flavors of wild raspberry, dark plum, dried herbs, and black pepper mesh with a subtle, slate-like minerality. The texture is supple and lively, framed by fine, soft tannins and mouthwatering acidity through a clean, snap-fresh finish.
Farmed using organic practices and non-interventionist winemaking. Hand-harvested from mature vines, the fruit undergoes semi-carbonic maceration with whole clusters in tank using natural yeasts. The wine ages in neutral vats without temperature manipulation or added sulfur before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Grapes are grown in Cheverny, located in the Central Loire Valley of France. The vines sit on sand and clay soils rich in silica over a broken-down limestone base. This combination of well-drained topsoil and cool continental climate produces a fresh, aromatic expression with low alcohol and bright natural lift.
