Raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant, with fine tannins and a silky texture. Fresh acidity carries through to a long, persistent finish.
Vines are farmed sustainably with controlled yields, and grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, followed by aging in oak barrels.
Produced by Domaine Jean-Charles Rion, a family-run estate based in Premeaux-Prissey in the Côte d’Or, led by Jean-Charles Rion. This Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits comes from higher-elevation vineyards above the Côte de Nuits, planted on clay-limestone soils typical of the appellation.
