Juicy and lively, this red blend shows ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, and cherry with hints of mint, rose petal, and subtle tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied and fruit-forward, with fresh acidity and soft, grainy tannins that lead to a savory finish with echoes of dark chocolate and tea leaf. The overall feel is energetic and expressive without heaviness.
This wine is a blend of Cinsault, País, and Carignan from old bush vines, harvested by hand and fermented with native yeasts following a cold soak and several weeks on skins. After fermentation the wine is aged in stainless steel, allowing the purity of fruit and vineyard character to remain central and unmasked by oak.
Produced in Chile’s Itata Valley by Clos des Fous, a project focused on expressive, minimal-intervention wines from historic vineyards on granite soils. The vines average several decades in age, with low yields and sustainable farming that help deliver bright fruit and lively acidity in this approachable, terroir-driven red.
