Aromas of ripe black cherry, wild blackberry, violet, and dark spice lead into a rich, full-bodied palate. Flavors of dark plum, savory herbs, espresso, and licorice mesh with subtle earthy undertones. The texture is smooth and velvety, supported by polished tannins and bright natural acidity that carry into a long, vibrant finish.
Farmed organically across volcanic estate blocks. Hand-harvested Aglianico grapes undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with moderate skin contact. The wine ages in older French oak barrels for roughly twelve months in natural volcanic tuff caves, softening the tannin profile while preserving primary fruit freshness.
Grapes are grown in hillside vineyards surrounding Rionero in Vulture. Planted on the slopes of Mount Vulture, the site features dark volcanic soils and volcanic tuff that provide exceptional drainage and mineral complexity.
