Winemakers Alejandro Bulgheroni and Philippe Melka utilize 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the valley’s most iconic site. In the cellar, the fruit undergoes meticulous sorting and is fermented in a combination of French oak puncheons and stainless steel using native yeasts. This allows for deep extraction of color and flavor while maintaining aromatic precision. The fruit is grown in the Oakville AVA of Napa Valley at the world-renowned Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. The site is defined by its ancient riverbed history, featuring gravelly loam soils that offer perfect drainage and low vine vigor. These historic blocks sit on a gentle alluvial fan at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains, benefiting from intense afternoon sun and the cooling influence of the evening fog.
