Dark plum, blackberry, and black cherry lead, followed by savory notes of olive, cracked pepper, and dried herbs. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, fine tannins and bright acidity, finishing focused and savory.
Syrah sourced from Hawks Butte in Sonoma County and Alder Springs in Mendocino County. Fruit is hand-harvested, fermented whole cluster with native yeasts, and aged for about ten to twelve months in neutral French oak barrels.
Produced by Jolie-Laide in California’s North Coast, working with high-elevation vineyards influenced by cool coastal conditions. The project focuses on site-driven wines made from thoughtfully farmed vineyards across Sonoma and Mendocino.
