Aromas of ripe black cherry, wild plum, dried violet, and sweet tobacco leaf lead into a dense, medium-to-full-bodied palate. Flavors of dark currant, espresso, and crushed rosemary mesh with a distinct mineral streak. The texture is refined and mouth-filling, anchored by firm, gravelly tannins and a bright core of acidity that extends through a long, savory finish.
Farmed organically across high-elevation estate vineyard plots. Hand-harvested grapes are sorted and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for roughly 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels (a combination of large casks and neutral barriques) to build depth while maintaining purity.
Grapes are grown in Panzano in Chianti, situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany, Italy. The 100% Sangiovese vines sit in the famous Conca d'Oro (Golden Shell) amphitheater, where high elevation, warm daily sun, and stony galestro and alberese clay-limestone soils provide ideal diurnal shifts and strong natural acidity.
