What it Tastes Like

Aromas of fresh raspberry, red cherry, dried rose petals, and subtle forest floor lead into a medium-to-full-bodied, structured palate. Flavors of tart red currant, licorice, dried tobacco leaf, and crushed gravel mesh with subtle baking spice undertones. The mouthfeel is broad and complex, supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and bright, mouthwatering natural acidity that extends through a dry, persistent finish.

How it’s Made

Farmed organically across high-altitude plots. Hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in cement tanks, undergoing a skin maceration of up to 20 days with manual punch-downs to extract balanced color and tannin structure. The wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation and ages for 24 to 30 months in traditional, large Slavonian oak botti, followed by extended bottle aging prior to release.

Where it’s From

Grapes are sourced from a single-hectare estate parcel situated in the Santa Maria sub-zone of La Morra, within the Barolo DOCG region of Piedmont, Italy. The vines sit at roughly 300 meters elevation on southwest-facing slopes near the Tanaro River, growing in Sant'Agata Fossil Marl soils rich in limestone and grey-blue clay that lend aromatic elegance and fine structure to the Nebbiolo.
