Product Details
What it Tastes Like

Aromas of fresh dark cherry, wild strawberry, pennyroyal mint, and dried tea leaf lead into a lithe, medium-bodied palate. Flavors of red plum, cranberry, savory spice, and crushed rock mesh with a subtle forest floor undertone. The texture is silky and precise, supported by fine-grained tannins and bright, driving acidity through a long, clean, tension-filled finish.

How it’s Made

Hand-harvested grapes are gently destemmed, preserving a small percentage of whole clusters for structural complexity and aromatic lift. Following a brief cold soak, fermentation occurs in open-top stainless steel and concrete tanks using indigenous yeasts with light manual punch-downs. The wine ages for roughly 11 months in neutral French oak barrels to preserve site specificity and fruit purity before bottling.

Where it’s From

Grapes are sourced from cool-climate, high-elevation vineyard sites across the Anderson Valley. The vines root into well-draining alluvial loam, gravel, and sandstone soils. Situated along the Navarro River basin, the appellation experiences intense Pacific maritime fog and extreme diurnal temperature swings, allowing for extended hang-time that develops deep flavor complexity while retaining natural acidity.
