Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and sandalwood integrate with notes of grilled rosemary and savory spice. The palate is full-bodied and firm, featuring a core of ripe black fruit balanced by an "Old World" structural tension and a long, vivid finish that highlights its purity and density.
A collaboration with winemaker Riley Miller (of Sonder), the wine is produced from certified organic grapes. In the cellar, the focus is on minimal intervention, allowing the ripeness of the Washington fruit to lead. The wine matures in a way that emphasizes focus and length, avoiding the "fruit bomb" style by maintaining a fine balance between fruit, acidity, and natural tannin.
The fruit is sourced from the Badger Mountain Vineyard, which was the first certified organic vineyard in Washington State. Located in the Columbia Valley, this site is defined by its sandy-loam soils and a semi-arid climate that sees long, sunny days and cool nights. This dramatic temperature shift—the diurnal swing—is essential for developing the concentrated flavors and structural acidity that define this quintessential Washington Cabernet.
