Aromas of wild strawberry, orange peel, crushed herbs, and fresh pine needles lead into an ethereal, medium-bodied palate. Flavors of tart red cherry, pomegranate, and subtle mushroom mesh with a lift of savory stem spice. The texture is lithe and delicate, driven by bright natural acidity and fine-grained whole-cluster tannins that extend through a long, mineral finish.
Farmed organically across high-density vineyard blocks. Hand-harvested grapes are vinified using 100% whole-cluster fermentation with native yeasts in small open-top vessels. The wine undergoes an extended maceration to extract fine phenolic structure before aging in neutral oak vessels, bottled without fining or heavy filtration.
Grapes come entirely from the Komorebi Vineyard in Occidental, located within the cool-climate West Sonoma Coast appellation of California. Situated less than five miles from the Pacific Ocean, the high-density site rests among coastal redwoods, where constant fog, cool ocean air, and porous sandy-loam soils foster slow grape ripening while maintaining natural acidity.
