Aromas of dark plum, blackberry, dried thyme, and graphite lead into a supple, medium-bodied palate. Flavors of black currant, cocoa powder, and dark cherry mesh with subtle earthy undertones. The texture is smooth and well-structured, supported by fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity that carries into a savory finish.
Farmed organically by vigneron Christophe Avi without synthetic chemicals or herbicides. Grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed before undergoing temperature-controlled fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages in concrete and stainless steel vats to retain fresh varietal fruit and soil character without oak influence.
Grapes come from estate vineyards in the Buzet appellation of Southwest France, situated along the Garonne River just southwest of Bordeaux. The blend (mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) grows on rolling hillsides featuring gravel and clay-limestone soils that provide deep root penetration and natural water drainage.
