Aromas of yellow apple, white peach, and orange blossom integrate with savory notes of dried almonds and a hint of wild herbs. The palate is medium-bodied and texturally rich, featuring a core of golden fruit and a subtle waxiness. It displays a balanced acidity and a persistent finish marked by a clean mineral salinity and a characteristic touch of bitter almond on the back palate.
Winemaker Rocco Pasetti utilizes 100% Trebbiano d'Abruzzo grapes that are hand-harvested and gently pressed. The juice undergoes a cold settling process followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve aromatic clarity. The wine matures on its fine lees for several months with minimal intervention, a technique that enhances the wine's natural weight and complexity without the use of oak, ensuring a pure expression of the varietal.
The fruit is grown in the Collecorvino district within the Pescara province of Abruzzo. The site is defined by its limestone-clay soils and its position between the Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso mountains. This unique location creates a significant diurnal temperature shift, allowing the grapes to develop deep flavors while maintaining the freshness required for a balanced, food-friendly white wine.
