Aromas of fresh red cherry, wild raspberry, dried rosemary, and rose petal lead into a light-to-medium-bodied, vibrant palate. Flavors of sour cranberry, blood orange, tea leaf, and subtle mountain herbs mesh with a clean, chalky mineral streak. The texture is juicy and nimble, supported by gentle, soft-grained tannins and a crisp, mouthwatering natural acidity through a bright, clean finish.
Grapes are hand-harvested into small 18-kilogram boxes, subjected to a seven-day cold maceration, and spontaneously fermented whole-cluster using native yeasts inside unlined concrete eggs. The wine undergoes complete malolactic fermentation and aging in concrete eggs with zero wood contact, preserving pure fruit aromatics and fresh texture. It is bottled with minimal filtration and low sulfur.
Grapes are sourced from a historic, organically farmed vineyard originally planted in 1940 using the traditional pergola training system in Santa María de Oro, Rivadavia, within the Eastern region of Mendoza. Situated at an elevation of roughly 1,475 feet above sea level, the vines root into deep sandy silt soils irrigated by snowmelt, benefiting from warm days and cool night air off the Andes.
