Aromas of black fruit and violet lead, with hints of spice and subtle floral lift. The palate shows layered dark fruit and firm tannins with balanced acidity, carrying through a persistent finish.
100 % Touriga Nacional was destemmed and underwent pre‑fermentative maceration at low temperature, followed by fermentation in granite lagares with controlled extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine aged in French oak barriques for roughly 22–24 months before bottling.
Produced by Quinta de Chocapalha under the CH by Chocapalha label in Lisboa, Portugal. Fruit is sourced from older Touriga Nacional vines planted on limestone‑clay soils, and the estate blends traditional lagares fermentation with barrel aging in a region known for ripe red varieties.
