Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, cassis, and subtle cedar lead into a rich, full-bodied palate. Flavors of dark plum, cocoa nib, and espresso mesh with underlying hints of eucalyptus and graphite. The texture is velvety and layered, supported by firm mountain tannins and vibrant acidity that extend through a long, savory finish.
Farmed using sustainable viticultural methods across dry-farmed estate blocks. Hand-harvested grapes are sorted carefully before undergoing small-lot, temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine ages in French oak barrels (a blend of new and neutral oak) for nearly three years, allowing its dense tannic structure to integrate before bottling.
Grapes are grown on the estate’s high-elevation vineyards in the Spring Mountain District of Napa Valley. Situated at roughly 2,000 feet above the valley floor, the vines grow in shallow, well-draining volcanic soils where cool mountain air and ample sunshine allow for slow, balanced ripening.
