Deep cherry red with aromas of ripe black and red fruit and subtle spice. The palate shows concentrated fruit framed by firm tannins and balanced acidity, with hints of clove and earthy nuance through a clean, persistent finish.
Made entirely from Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), the 2019 vintage underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by malolactic fermentation. Afterward the wine aged in French oak barrels for about 14 months before bottling.
Produced by Bodegas Cepa 21 in Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León, Spain, this wine reflects fruit from vineyards around Castrillo de Duero and neighboring parcels planted on clay-limestone and stony soils. The estate’s modern facilities and elevated sites provide conditions that support balanced ripening of Tempranillo grapes in this continental climate.
