Aromas of Meyer lemon curd, yellow apple, toasted hazelnut, and subtle blossom lead into a rich, medium-to-full-bodied palate. Flavors of ripe peach, lemon peel, and baked pineapple mesh with hints of white tea, light baking spice, and a flinty minerality. The texture is supple and broad yet remains balanced by lively natural acidity that carries through a long, polished finish.
Estate-grown Chardonnay fruit is hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed using gentle extraction methods. The wine undergoes barrel fermentation with native yeasts in French oak casks. It ages on its fine lees with controlled malolactic conversion to build mouthfeel and subtle creaminess while preserving freshness before bottling.
Grapes are sourced entirely from the Larry Hyde & Sons Estate Vineyard, situated in the cool Carneros region. The site benefits from shallow clay loam soils and heavy maritime influence, where cool breezes and morning fog rolling off San Pablo Bay slow down ripening. This microclimate allows the fruit to develop deep flavor concentration while retaining distinct acidity and structure.
