Aged Chardonnay with aromas of citrus zest, green apple, and pear, joined by subtle notes of white flowers and stone. The palate is medium-bodied with bright acidity, restrained oak presence, and a clean, mineral-toned finish.
Chardonnay was hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts. The wine was aged in French oak barrels, with approximately 10 percent new oak and the remainder neutral, before bottling.
Produced by Copain Wines, this Chardonnay comes from DuPratt Vineyard in Anderson Valley, Mendocino County, California. The site is planted to Wente-selection Chardonnay on high-elevation Franciscan shale soils within a cool, marine-influenced growing area.
