2017 Ancient Oak Cabernet Sauvignon

A Cabernet with aromas of black cherry and plum, framed by subtle notes of cedar, tobacco leaf, and gentle herb. The palate shows structured dark fruit and firm tannins with balanced acidity, carrying to a clean, composed finish.

Grapes for this bottling were hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in open-top tanks with manual punch-downs. After fermentation the wine was aged in French oak barrels for an extended period to integrate structure and texture before bottling.

Produced by Ancient Oak Cellars from vineyards on Sonoma Mountain in Sonoma County, California, the wine reflects the estate’s long family farming tradition and hands-on winemaking approach. The winery works its own sites and select grower vineyards with careful attention to fruit maturity and site expression.
