Aromas of dark raspberry, crushed slate, wild thyme, and dried orange peel lead into a concentrated, full-bodied palate. Flavors of black cherry, wild strawberry, clove, and damp earth mesh with a distinctive stony minerality. The texture is broad and velvet-like, structured by firm, fine-grained tannins and vibrant natural acidity through a long, warm finish.
Farmed organically across century-old bush vines. Hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in open-top oak vats, undergoing extended skin maceration. The wine ages for around 24 months in French oak barrels followed by extensive bottle aging prior to release to allow the powerful fruit and structure to integrate.
Grapes are grown in steep, high-elevation vineyard terraces surrounding the village of Porrera. Planted in the region's famous llicorella soils—a dark, fractured slate that retains heat and forces roots deep into the bedrock—these ancient vines produce minute yields of intensely concentrated Garnatxa fruit.
