Our May tasting series shifts the focus from grape to grower.
For this first installment, we’re highlighting the work of Eric Texier alongside that of his son, Martin. While the two make wine independently, their approaches are closely aligned, rooted in minimal intervention, a respect for site, and a willingness to work outside of the Rhône’s more conventional expectations.
Eric Texier has long been a champion of underappreciated vineyards and varieties, helping to bring attention back to historic sites like Brézème while producing wines that emphasize freshness and transparency. Martin, working in his own right, carries that same spirit forward, crafting wines that feel equally thoughtful, but with a slightly different lens.
The tasting lineup offers a side-by-side look at both. From Eric, we’ll pour the Chat Fou Côtes du Rhône Rouge, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc VV, and Adele Blanc. From Martin, we’ll explore his Brézème Rouge and the La Boutanche Cinsault. Together, the wines highlight a shared philosophy expressed across different sites, styles, and generations.
