Argued the best Chenin Blanc in Loire Valley. You be the judge.
"After starting on the family estate as a farm worker, I decided, in 1989, to settle down with a few hectares of vines in Montlouis-sur-Loire . Convinced from the start of the richness of the terroir, I specifically exploit each plot and multiply the vintages. Aware of having a unique natural heritage in my hands, it is also in this spirit that I became interested from my beginnings in the cultivation of vines in organic farming, then in biodynamics .
The area grew step by step. In 1999 it covered 17 hectares. The following year my wife, Manuéla, joined me to open the tasting cellar of the estate “ La Cave Insolite ” on the banks of the Loire in Montlouis.
In the 2000s, I took over vines in Vouvray. The estate now spans the Loire, cultivating around ten hectares in this appellation located on the north bank of the river.
Chenin blanc is my raw material but the acquisition in 2006 of a few plots in Chissay, under the Touraine appellation , allows me to highlight other essential grape varieties from the Cher valley."
Dry and fruity white wine with a clear and brilliant appearance. Mineral nose with hints of citrus and licorice that reveal a wild side. The palate balances beautifully between refreshing acidity and fleshy fruitiness. This cuvée is perfect to enjoy now paired with refined dishes or simply as an aperitif.
