2020 Stolpman Vineyards ‘Love You Bunches’ Orange
Tasting Notes ~
Carbonic, skin contact (aka orange wine), natural white wine? Yes please! A blend of 54 percent Orange Muscat, 26 percent Pinot Gris, and 20 percent Mourvèdre - popping tangerine and tangerine peel jump out of the glass complimented by inviting tropical guava and passion fruit. These driving fresh fruits come from the Orange Muscat and then the darker hued Pinot Gris delivers savory tactile notes and lends depth and weight. The Mourvedre further cushions the mouthfeel and adds a more serious earthy component. Limited release, only 920 cases produced.

2018 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc
$115.00WA 92 JD 92 VN 95Vinous 95 ~ Vivid straw-yellow. Highly perfumed citrus and orchard fruit and floral qualities on the mineral-accented nose. Shows excellent concentration as well as vivacity, offering palate-staining pear, Meyer lemon and brioche flavors that stretch out steadily with air. The floral and mineral elements return emphatically on the intense, sharply focused finish, which lingers with serious persistence. -
2019 Nortico Alvariñho
$15.00Tasting Notes ~ This is a young, fresh white wine with the characteristic bright acidity and aromas of peach and grapefruit. Nortico is light and delicate, lovely as a "porch-sipping wine" to drink on its own. Have it simply with corn bread and butter like country folks do in Portugal. Also a terrific seafood wine, particularly with salty, fattier dishes like fish tacos or broiled oysters. Recommended serving temperature is 50F so the citrus and fruit aromas are well present.
