This versatile Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect expression of Marlborough. A stretch of water known as the Outer Sounds leads from the sea-drowned valleys of Marlborough into the mystical wine country of New Zealand. Invigorated by such terroir, this crisp Sauvignon Blanc has juicy passionfruit and citrus flavors along with the classic green, grassy flavors that are so characteristic of Sauvignon Blanc from this region.

$23.00Add to cartTasting Notes ~ Chris Brockaway makes a wide range of California wine but the common denominators are that they must be made without additives (other than a small amount of SO2 as necessary), always fermented with indigenous yeasts, using grapes from vineyards that do not use synthetic chemicals. A blend of 85 percent Valdiguié, 14 percent Zinfandel, and 1 percent Trousseau - the fruit was foot stomped and left on the skins for 12 hours. Pressed into stainless steel tank where all three varieties fermented together just over 18-21 days. Spice comes from the Zinfandel, acidity from the Valdiguié and texture from the Trousseau. This is a 100% finished wine, meaning it fermented until it went dry using only native yeasts and went through spontaneous malolactic fermentation. 1,800 cases produced. Limited availability. -
2015 Botanica Wines ‘The Mary Delany Collection’ Chenin Blanc
$34.00Add to cartTasting Notes ~ I really don’t know if there is a better South African Chenin Blanc out there?! 100 percent dry farmed Chenin Blanc that was hand sorted, crushed and destemmed. Half was spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks and half was spontaneously fermented in 400 litre French barrels. After fermentation, the wine was left on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks/oak barrels for 9 months. Complex and elegant, with layers of pure, concentrated pear, citrus and stone fruit flavors, mouth-watering acidity and a tangy, mineral core. Less than 400 cases produced.
