Tasting Notes ~
The block is biodynamically farmed with lovely goats grazing the vineyard in the winter months. The 2018 Roussanne was fermented with native yeasts and aged in 300-liter barrels and a 350-gallon unlined concrete tank for 12 months before bottling.

The 2018 Chardonnay B.A. Thieriot Vineyard is shy at this stage, offering touches of gunflint, saline and white blossom with notes of hazelnut, toast and quince. The medium-bodied palate takes its time to open to bright, tangy flavor layers in a rounded, satiny frame and with a long finish. Give this the time it deserves in bottle, as it's currently very shy.

The 2019 Gavi del Comune di Gavi Grifo del Quartaro is a beautifully fragrant wine that shows the floral and tropical fruit intensity that comes with the Cortese grape. The vines are planted in a six-hectare site in Monterotondo di Gavi that boasts white calcareous clay soils. These conditions reduce the vigor of the vines, resulting in more character and concentration. You'll also notice a drying touch of chalky minerality that gives linearity and focus to the wine. An ample 50,000 bottles were released at a terrific value price.
