Rhubarb and black-raspberry flavors pair with thyme, roasting herbs and a touch of game on the palate, framed by plush acidity and subtle tannins.

This 2016 Morgon MC2 comes from 40 year old vines - two sources Charmes and Corcelette - planted on sand and schist with a subsoil of decomposed rock and clay. Whole cluster fermentation lasts for 20 days in concrete and 40 percent of the cuvée is matured in neutral oak for 10 months, resulting in a dark, mineral driven and longlived style of Beaujolais perfect for pairing with game birds and hearty grains.
