Wine Spectator 91: An elegant, well-balanced white, with zesty acidity behind the notes of Bosc pear, nectarine and lanolin. Vibrant, expressive and long, featuring typical slate minerality that gives this extra dimension. Drink now through 2030. 500 cases made, 400 cases imported.
Tasting Notes The aromatics are exotic and the palate possesses minerality with a burgeoning richness. Youthful and pale green in color, the flavors are complex, revealing floral, pear, and lemon notes. A lovely mineral core and crystallized fruit, with a long, energetic finish. Very enjoyable now but will age gracefully for at least a decade.
Vinous 92: The 2015 Chardonnay Plural is soft, pliant and super-expressive. Apricot, orchard fruit, smoke, chamomile and floral notes give the 2015 lovely texture to match its understated, gracious personality. This is a very pretty, appellation-level Chardonnay that nicely balances the richness of the year with a good bit of freshness. Fruit sources are Campbell Ranch and Zephyr Farms. Drinking window: 2018-2022.
