2018 Brown Estate ‘Betelgeuse’ Sauvignon Blanc$25.00Tasting Notes Tropical fruit notes delight the nose, commingled with subtle citrus, fever grass, and lemon verbena. Night blooming jasmine and honeysuckle are shadowed by stone fruit, lychee, and frankincense. Palate delights with a cascade of vibrant pineapple and luxurious guava, finishing with delicate rosewater and effervescent bergamot.
2015 Forgeron Cellars ‘Anvil’ French Creek Vineyard Chardonnay$45.99WE 92Wine Enthusiast 92: Sourced from one of the state's top Chardonnay sites, this wine was aged longer in barrel (16 months vs. 10), with a greater percentage of new oak (50% vs 35%) than the winery's Columbia Valley bottling. Its toast, cardamom, peach and clarified butter aromas are followed by full-bodied, creamy stone fruit flavors with plentiful spice accents. It's a delicious expression of the variety from a warm vintage.
2018 Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin Chablis Grand Cru ‘Les Clos’$116.00JS 95James Suckling 95: There’s such richness from the very first impression with all manner of peaches and nectarines, as well as mangoes. Smooth, peach brulée and lemon curd. Some hazelnuts, too. The palate has a super fleshy feel, very plush, very seductive and a very long, full finish. Late, mineral stream here. Drink on release or hold. This will be best at 15+ years.
