2017 Walter Hansel ‘Cuvée Alyce’ Chardonnay$44.99WA 94Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 94: The 2017 Chardonnay Cuvée Alyce opens with new oak aromas of toast, smoke, nutmeg and a gunflint hint with pie crust, spiced red apples, warm yellow peaches and loads of savory nuances—honey, hazelnuts, dried hay—at the core. Medium to full-bodied, it packs a wallop of flavor in the mouth, giving up oodles of warm fruits, spices and savory flavors, with great freshness to lift the very long, layered finish. This is fabulous! Give it another couple years in bottle.
2016 Château de Cérons Graves Blanc$34.99JS 89James Suckling 89: Tangy and fruity with some lemon and white-pepper character. Medium body and a clean finish.
2016 Long Meadow Ranch Chardonnay$43.99Tasting Notes The aromatics are exotic and the palate possesses minerality with a burgeoning richness. Youthful and pale green in color, the flavors are complex, revealing floral, pear, and lemon notes. A lovely mineral core and crystallized fruit, with a long, energetic finish. Very enjoyable now but will age gracefully for at least a decade.
