  • 2020 Day Wines ‘Vin de Days l’Orange’

Tasting Notes ~ The 2020 Vin de Days L'Orange is that textural and aromatic circus that you're looking for. This blend of 48 percent Riesling, 32 percent Müller-Thurgau, 15 percent Gewürztraminer and 5 percent Pinot gris is a marvelous expression of these aromatic varietals and what can be achieved with a little skin contact (8 days to be exact). The beautiful, floral Gewürz notes of lychee and rose juxtapose in wonderful fashion with the racy, stony minerality of the Riesling, while the Müller adds grapefruit and mango in a subtle tropical lift and Pinot gris gives acidic nuance to the firmly textured palate. With time and air, the fruit profile becomes richer and spicier with notes of candied orange rind and dried apricot. The finish remains vibrant and grippy even through the second day of being open. It's everything you're looking for from an aromatic "orange" wine.

  • 2020 Stolpman Vineyards ‘Love You Bunches’ Orange

Tasting Notes ~ Carbonic, skin contact (aka orange wine), natural white wine? Yes please! A blend of 54 percent Orange Muscat, 26 percent Pinot Gris, and 20 percent Mourvèdre - popping tangerine and tangerine peel jump out of the glass complimented by inviting tropical guava and passion fruit. These driving fresh fruits come from the Orange Muscat and then the darker hued Pinot Gris delivers savory tactile notes and lends depth and weight. The Mourvedre further cushions the mouthfeel and adds a more serious earthy component. Limited release, only 920 cases produced.

A blend of of 45 percent Riesling, 40 percent Gewurztraminer, 14 percent Early Muscat, and 1 percent others that were natively co-fermented with up to 7 days of skin contact. Big Salt is light gold in color, no doubt due to skin contact during crush. Aromas of salty bergamot, lemon, nectarine and white tea– exotic fruits fill out the nose.
