2020 Folk Machine Rosé
$23.00Tasting Notes ~ 2020 marks the forth vintage of Folk Machine Rose. This Rose has become a cult favorite among die hard Rose fans, Natural wine drinkers, and collectors. With an allocation of less than 30 cases for the whole state of Georgia there is never enough to go around. It is a Murphy’s favorite and the best way to start Rose season! With only 4 cases on hand this will go fast! 100 percent Gamay Noir - grapes were taken directly to press with just a minimal amount of skin contact time. Native fermentation in stainless steel with temperature control to keep the fermenting juice cool and the fermentation slow, preserving aromatics and flavors. The result is a fresh, very savory, light wine. -

$20.00Tasting Notes ~ Austrian Beaujolais? Sure tastes like it. Bright and juicy, with a spine of minerality (and great with a chill) and finishes completely dry. A blend of 60 percent Zweigelt, 30 percent Blaufrankisch, and 1 percent St. Laurent that has all been grown biodynamically grown. Spontaneous, semi-carbonic fermentation in stainless steel (Natural Wine!) that then spends 6 months in stainless steel tank to rest before bottling, unfiltered and unfined. -

The palate is fresh and uplifting with notes of briary raspberry, morello cherry and wild lavender finished with an orange twist. This is an ethereal, vivid red blend! Sustainably farmed - 56 percent Cinsault, 29 percent Syrah, and 15 percent Carignan that spent 10 months in 75 percent French barrique and 25 percent stainless steel. Only 1,700 cases produced. -

$14.00Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 90 ~ This sensational non-vintage Barcino Cava was made from a solera system where the dosage was started in the 1940s. A blend of 55 percent Xarello, 25 percent Macabeo and 20 percent Parellada, from vines planted in 1995, this crisp, delicious, dry sparkler spent 12 months on its lees. Attractive notes of honeyed brioche, poached pear and caramelized grapefruit jump from the glass of this zesty, light-bodied, exceptionally well-crafted, pure, fresh cava. Only 5,000 cases produced. -

$22.00Tasting Notes ~ The fruit used for Queen D comes from a single vineyard in Oregon - The Cowhorn Vineyard, a pristine biodynamic vineyard in the heart of Applegate Valley. It's an ideal site for Rhône varietals, with its rocky, well-drained river bench soils, warm temperatures, and dry growing seasons. The 2018 Queen D is a vibrant expression of Marsanne and Roussanne in equal parts. Aromas of mandarin orange, lemon liqueur, dried peaches and apricots, and white honeysuckle give way to the suprisingly tense palate. While the richness of fruit is certainly forefront, the acidity provides a refrehsing backbone to the flavor profile. -

$21.00Tasting Notes ~ Big Slat is a cult favorite among Oregon wine drinkers and Natural wine nerds. Small production, organic, native ferment, with a bit of skin contact and minimal SO₂ at bottling - what more could you ask for in a unique white blend that pleases all the points on your palate? A blend of of 45 percent Riesling, 40 percent Gewurztraminer, 14 percent Early Muscat, and 1 percent others that were natively co-fermented with up to 7 days of skin contact. Big Salt is light gold in color, no doubt due to skin contact during crush. Aromas of salty bergamot, lemon, nectarine and white tea– exotic fruits fill out the nose. The palate is filled with rich texture combined with green apple acidity - the finish is crisp, with hints of tannin structure that quickly cleans up. -

$17.00Tasting Notes ~ A Certified Organic and Demeter Certified Biodynamic family-owned and run estate in Ribera del Duero, Finca Torremilanos is comprised of 200 hectares of vineyards planted on quality land that has supported viticulture for over 100 years. This is 100 percent Tempranillo of average vine age between 10 and 20 years. Fermentation takes 9 days and malolactic occurs in 80 percent stainless steel and 20 percent in barrel. With ripe red fruit flavors with structured tannins, this over-delivers in quality for the price. -
