NV Barcino Cava Brut$14.00Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 90 ~ This sensational non-vintage Barcino Cava was made from a solera system where the dosage was started in the 1940s. A blend of 55 percent Xarello, 25 percent Macabeo and 20 percent Parellada, from vines planted in 1995, this crisp, delicious, dry sparkler spent 12 months on its lees. Attractive notes of honeyed brioche, poached pear and caramelized grapefruit jump from the glass of this zesty, light-bodied, exceptionally well-crafted, pure, fresh cava. Only 5,000 cases produced.

Fruity exuberant aroma dominated by a variety of forest fruits along with delicate tannins. An initially potent flavor with good structure and just the right degree of acidity that maintains a perfect balance throughout its prolonged lingering aftertaste.
