2019 Domaine de Châteaumar ‘Perle de Rosé’ Côtes-du-Rhône$18.00Tasting Notes Rose petal color, a nose of fresh red and yellow fruits (strawberries, raspberries, peaches). On the palate, the wine is soft, round, with elegant sweetness from the fruits noted on the nose, a good minerality, and a fresh lingering finish.
2017 Famille Brunier ‘Piedlong’ Châteauneuf-du-Pape$64.99James Suckling 93: A blend of 90% grenache for the Piedlong section and 10% mourvedre from the Pignan section, both old-vine parcels. The wild herbs and dried, wild red flowers and roses here are really something, together with grilled meat. Rich and succulent, very fleshy and intense. Drink or hold.
2019 The Walls ‘Cruel Summer’ Rosé$19.00Tasting Notes Pretty rose water tones mingling with minerals and melon accents on this delicate nose. The palate picks up a silky texture, with watermelon, white peach, Gravenstein apple and honeydew melon tones that all come together nicely in the glass. While not particularly rich, the elegance of the wine really shines through to the long finish with lighter red fruit, white rose water and mineral tones. Drink 2020-2025.
