  • 2014 Peay Vineyards ‘Les Titans’ Estate Syrah

    $59.99
    VN 96
Vinous 96: The 2014 Syrah Estate Les Titans is very tightly wound today. The signature blue/purplish fruit profile comes through, but the savory, peppery notes that are typical of this site need time to develop.

  • 2015 Lail ‘J. Daniel Cuvée’ Cabernet Sauvignon

    $285.99
    WA 98
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 98: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 J Daniel Cuvee bursts forth with gregarious blackcurrant pastilles, black cherries and warm plum notes backed up by notions of spice cake, mocha and licorice. The full-bodied palate is powerfully fruited with opulent exotic spices accenting the black forest cake notions, framed by plush tannins and finishing with epic length. A beautifully buxom showstopper!

  • 2008 Dom Perignon

    $199.99
    WS 96WA 96JS 98
Wine Spectator 96: There's power to this graceful Champagne, with the vivid acidity swathed in a fine, creamy mousse and flavors of toasted brioche, kumquat, pastry cream, candied ginger and poached plum that dance across the palate. An underpinning of smoky mineral gains momentum on the lasting finish. Drink now through 2033.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 96: The finest release of this iconic cuvée since the 1996 vintage, the 2008 Dom Pérignon wafts from the glass with an incipiently complex bouquet of Meyer lemon, green apple, dried white flowers and oyster shell, with only subtle hints of the smoky, autolytic aromas that have been such a prominent signature of recent releases. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and complete, its notable flesh and amplitude controlled by incisive acids, with a youthfully exuberant but elegant mousse and a long, beautifully delineated finish. Considering the sheer size of this cuvée, it's a remarkable achievement and a fitting release with which to conclude Richard Geoffroy's tenure as chef de cave. Given the 2008's intensity and balance, I suspect purists will be anticipating later disgorgements with lower dosage and more time on the lees with particular enthusiasm. Tasted three times, with consistent results.
James Suckling 98: The best Dom since 2002. A vintage with very restrained, powerful style that has been released non-sequentially after the 2009. This has a lighter stamp of highly curated, autolytic, toasty aromas than many recent releases. Instead, this delivers super fresh and intense aromas of lemons, grapefruit and blood-orange peel. Incredible freshness here. The palate has a very smoothly delivered, berry-pastry thread with light, sweet spices, stone fruit and fine citrus fruit. This really delivers. Drink now or hold.

  • 2007 Billecart-Salmon ‘Cuvée Elisabeth’ Champagne Brut Rosé

    $239.99
    WS 94WA 97
Wine Spectator 94: An elegant rosé Champagne, fresh and focused, with the silky mousse carrying a fine range of nectarine and white cherry fruit, underscored by grated ginger, marzipan and saline flavors. Offers a lingering, creamy finish. Drink now through 2027.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 97: Created in 1988 as a tribute to one of the house’s founders, Elisabeth Salmon, Billecart-Salmon's iconic 2007 Millésime Brut Rosé Cuvée Elisabeth displays a beautifully radiant, shimmering orange-salmon color. The bouquet of this Pinot Noir/Chardonnay blend is as intense as it is delicate and vinous, displaying red and yellow-fleshed fruit intertwined with floral, chalky and citrus notes as well as a noble sur lie character. Round, lush and delicate on the palate, this is a highly elegant, charming, beautifully balanced rosé with great finesse and amazingly fine grip on the long yet pure, tensioned, well-structured and stimulatingly salty finish. This rosé Champagne is close to perfection! A small percentage of the Pinot Noir—from old vines in the south-facing Valofroy parcel in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ—was vinified as red wine and added to give this unique color and vinosity. The other Pinots are sourced in the grand crus Verzenay and Aÿ, and the Chardonnay comes from grand crus in the Côte des Blancs, namely Chouilly, Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger.

  • 2014 Wayfarer ‘Golden Mean’ Pinot Noir

    $119.99
    WA 94WE 97
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 94: Dark, brooding cinnamon and fleshy black plum provide an exciting, complex counterpoint to the rakish earthiness and exotic Asian spice going on in this full-bodied, explosively compelling wine, its minerality lingering. It's young and still tightly coiled, with lingering minerality; let it open to enjoy now, but it would show best after some time, so cellar through 2024. Cellar Selection

Wine Spectator 90: Built for the cellar, this red has a taut core of firm tannins bound by sturdy black currant, stony mineral and white pepper flavors. Best from 2020 through 2027.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 95: The 2015 Syrah Haley Rockpile Vineyard is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with compelling scents of violets, wilted roses, kirsch and baking spices over a core of wild blueberries and black cherries with wafts of lavender, garrigue and wild thyme. Full-bodied, opulent and possessing a myriad of floral and spicy sparks in the black-fruited mouth, it has a beautiful plush texture and wonderful freshness, finishing very long.

  • 2013 Barone Ricasoli ‘Castello di Brolio’ Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

    $74.99
    WS 92WA 94JS 95
Wine Spectator 92: Inviting aromas and flavors of black cherry, black currant, toasty oak, spice and tar are backed by solid grip. Fresh and long, with fine balance in the end. Best from 2017 through 2027.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 94: Tasted from vat, the 2013 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castello di Brolio is shaping up to be a stunning wine, and may be one of the best expressions this single vineyard has produced so far in its young incarnation as a Gran Selezione wine. Previous vintages see some small additions of international grapes, but this vintage was made without Merlot in the blend. The wine is brimming with bright fruit intensity and enormous generosity. The finish is luscious, rich and long-lasting. It promises to flesh out further with more bottle aging.
James Suckling 95: A bright and refined red with delicate chocolate, plum and raspberry character. Medium body, integrated fruit and tannins. Bright acidity. Love the vivid fruit and citrus combination here. Drink now or hold.
