  • 2015 Botanica Wines ‘The Mary Delany Collection’ Chenin Blanc

    Tasting Notes ~ I really don’t know if there is a better South African Chenin Blanc out there?! 100 percent dry farmed Chenin Blanc that was hand sorted, crushed and destemmed. Half was spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks and half was spontaneously fermented in 400 litre French barrels. After fermentation, the wine was left on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks/oak barrels for 9 months. Complex and elegant, with layers of pure, concentrated pear, citrus and stone fruit flavors, mouth-watering acidity and a tangy, mineral core. Less than 400 cases produced.

    Tasting Notes ~ A fresh, floral Chenin Blanc with crisp acidity, and rich concentration. This Vouvray is slightly off dry, pure and intense.

    Tasting Notes ~ Intense fruit and honey with a hint of wood spice on the nose, including pineapple, guava and citrus. On the palate it is rich and full bodied with good balance and a long finish.
